Kelly Clark Wraps Up Another Gold In The Pipe While Kaya Turski Takes The Slopestyle Title
The biggest news in the Euro Winter X Games today was Kelly Clark’s 17th title in two years as she won gold in the SuperPipe by 10 points, brushing aside the challenge of Elena Hight and Kaitlyn Farrington. Clark scored an impressive 95.00 on her best run, landing a 1080. Hight took silver with a score of 85.00 on her second run which saw back to back 7s, back to back 9s and an alley-oop rodeo. Farrington came in third and took bronze with a run of 81.33 after throwing down three 9s in her best.
Meanwhile, Kaya Turski took gold in the Slopestyle with a score of 92.66. She was run close by Anna Segall, who posted a 91.00, and Dara Howell, who took bronze with 89.66.
Tomorrow will see the return of Shaun White to the SuperPipe after he breezed through the eliminators in first place. Clearly saving his best for tomorrow, White ran in a lowly (by his standards) 89.66.
Will we see another perfect 100? I hope so.
